From the 8th to the 24th of February Surfers Paradise will come to life with a favourite on the Gold Coast annual event calendar; Sand Safari Arts Festival.
The Sand Safari Arts Festival theme for this year is ‘Friendship’ and visitors can expect to see things such as ten tonne sand sculpts, multicolour tentacles bursting out from the sand, a sculptural sand crab migration and even a full scale pirate ship!
We recommend that you catch the Australian Sand Sculpting Championships where talented sculptors from around the country create intricately carved life-sized masterpieces out of sand!
The fun event continues after the sun goes down as the sculptures are illuminated across the beach and pedestrian areas.
